The UWO Exercise and Nutrition Symposium

For today, I quickly want to let you know about the University of Western Ontario’s Exercise and Nutrition Symposium which is coming Saturday, March 20th at UWO.

There are some great speakers including my favourite exercise nutritionist Dr. John Berardi.  I have been asked to speak and I will be running a workshop showing participants how some of the exercises they are currently doing put them at a risk for injury.  We will go over how crunches can contribute to disc injuries in the lower back, talk about shoulder injuries from lat pulldowns and bench press and knee pain as a result of small technical flaws in your squatting technique.   Not only will you save yourself hundreds of dollars in physio bills, but you will see how doing exercises properly help you target your problem areas.
